Programme Description: This is a competency based applied learning consisting of a foundational year and residency (practicum/attachment) which is the second year of clinical mentorship (internship).

Level: equivalent to Post Graduate Diploma

Admission Requirements: 
❖ be a Member of ECSACONM
❖ be a holder of Bachelor of Science Degree in Midwifery/Bachelor Degree in Nursing Science or equivalent
❖ possess a valid practicing license and be in good standing with the regulatory body
❖have completed a minimum of two years in clinical practice

Program duration:
The fellowship program spans 24 months, divided into two halves: one year for theory and one year for practical experience. Students have up to 3 years to complete the program, with an initial 2-year timeline and the option for an additional year if needed.

1. Introduction to Intensive Care Nursing
2. Advanced Applied Pharmacology for Nursing Practice 
3. Theory and Practice in Advanced Critical Care Nursing I: Critical Care Systems
4. Theory and Practice in Advanced Critical Care Nursing II: Alterations in Body Systems
5. Theory and Practice in Advanced Critical Care Nursing III: Provide Nursing Care at ICU
6. Evidence Based Practice and advanced Research I: Review of Research Process
7. Communication in Intensive Care Unit
8. Management of the Intensive Care Units
9. Advanced Evidence Based Practice 
10. Clinical Practice
11. Quality Improvement Project and Report writing

Course Delivery
❖ First Year Course delivery is via e-LMS The Guild Learning Centre
❖ During the second year of fellowship learning will mostly take place at the accredited health Facility

Tuition Fee (USD)
❖ Chronic Care Disease Management Fellowship- 2500*
❖ Training Fee – Critical Care Nursing Programme – 2500*
❖ Training Fee – Midwifery Fellowship Programme – 2500*
❖ Training Fee – Neonatal Care Fellowship Programme – 2500*

* The tuition fees can be paid in four instalment of six months ($ 625)

Examination and Graduation (USD)
❖ Fellowship Examination – 800
❖ Repeat Examination – 400
❖ Graduation – 200

NB:
❖ if your not member you will be required to register for membership and pay USD 50 (30 joining fee and 20 Annual subscription)
❖ if you are member but you have not paid annual subscriptions for 2023/2024, you will be required to pay along with application fee.
❖ Please be aware that scholarships will be provided to applicants based on availability. We also extend an invitation to individuals, organizations, or institutions interested in offering scholarships or providing support to contact the ECSACON Secretariat at info@ecsacon.org.
